Our grads are getting their work out in all kinds of publishing venues, some in print and some online, some in texts and some in images.
Grace

Grace hails from Dallas. A 2019 graduate, she recently earned an MFA in poetry from Seattle Pacific University. Here are two of her recently-published poems, both of which were part of her senior creative writing thesis at Gordon.
The Gardener (Fathom)
A Butterfly’s Advice and other poems (The Way Back to Ourselves)
When I learned to fly, I did not imagine / a case around my unmaking. / My elders made it seem simple / as instinct, but believe me: // Living is an imprecise and vivid science…
Lily

Lily grew up near Nashville. After graduating from Gordon she spent a year teaching in France. She completed her MFA in poetry at the University of New Hampshire, and released her first book of poems, In the Shape of a Woman (Broadstone Books), in 2022.
Madonna di Addolorata (Mostra)
In this unlovely Madonna, I see you too: sagging / breasts and crinkled knees that you hid under layers / of baggy clothing, those cradle-arms where you mourned
the loss of a daughter
Lily reads three poems (Daily Reflection, St. John’s Episcopal Church)
