John Dixon Mirisola is Gordon’s newest full-time English faculty member (2026). His writing has been featured in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Zyzzyva, and The Millions. He has also written for the stage in collaboration The 5th Wall, a North-Shore-based immersive theatre company. He holds an M.F.A. in fiction from the University of California, Riverside. Currently, he is working on a novel.
John recently taught a fiction-writing course on campus at Gordon, and a course on film and literature in Gordon’s Orvieto semester. In 2026-27 he’ll add Professional and Technical Writing and English and Vocation courses.
